Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I am a mechanical engineer so it was NOT me who let the chicken plop into the BBQ marinade. I would NOT do that because I would know that the displaced marinade would end up all over my kitchen.

My Father’s Day gift to my Dad is NOT late because my order “required action” for over a week without me realizing it.

I did NOT cut the inside of my mouth with my fingernail while trying to “out pop” my kids…

Can you hula?

PJ can. He’s been asking for a hula hoop (Spiderman to be exact) for a while. He used a birthday gift card to get an orange one since Spiderman hula hoops seem to be scarce. Much to our surprise, he can actually hula! Check out this video.

Mia Dancerina

I told you there would be dance videos in the future…
Since all Mia does is dance and twirl around our house, I couldn’t resist signing her up for a dance class this year. I admit I’m a bit biased towards dancing to begin with, but if you know Mia, you know dancing is in her blood. In fact, she spent her two week Thanksgiving break teaching herself how to hop on one leg because she wasn’t able to do it the first time Miss Melissa asked her to in class. It was totally self-driven and she did actually go from not even being able to stand on one foot to hopping EVERYWHERE on one foot. I thought she walked slowly until she started hopping instead.

Oops…I digress. Anyway, I was able to find a class that coordinated nicely with PJ’s school schedule and location…Tappin Toddlers. They always start with tap shoes for the first half and then do creative movement barefoot for the second half. Here’s the videos of her last class. The first two are tap and the third is creative movement. And your welcome for shrinking the 45 minute class to just under 13 minutes.

I wasn’t joking when I said Koreans bow for everything and they start early. Ty first bowed to us at the Holt office in Seoul as he was leaving our first meeting together. It took a couple weeks at home for him to be comfortable enough to do it here but now he does it all the time. See?

The word he’s saying is “anyoung” which strictly translated means “hi” but is really loosely used for “goodbye” as well.

Cool Runnings

Whoever would have thought the luge Looj would run right here on the sunny east coast? Those of you who know us well, know that we are lazy and gadget-crazed. It’s a lethal combination really. So welcome the newest member of our gadget family…

In case you couldn’t tell from the video, Looj is a gutter-cleaning robot. Yup, the shot at the end is the stuff he shotputted (is that a word?) out of our gutters. No wonder there were trees growing up there.
