This blog is a photography-dabbling, veggie-loving, housework-hating, triathlon-trying, homeschooling, grace-needing mom's attempt to capture life as it happens with 3 kids (one adopted from Korea). We're currently paper chasing for a sibling group from Ethiopia. We hope you enjoy sharing our journey with us. You can subscribe via email or rss below.
If the 4 or so inches of snow we got yesterday morning wasn’t enough, at around 6PM last night, we got a snow thunderstorm complete with lightening.
This is the snowman the kids made when they got up yesterday morning.
This is the snowman Patrick made at dusk last night in the middle of some of the [...]
Yesterday we got our first real* snow.
*As in schools were closed, shovel and scrapers were used, and we drove somewhere to go sledding.
It turns out that the older two may have snowboarding in their future. I was pretty impressed at their ability to snowboard down a decent hill on a 15-year-old, blue, plastic, toboggan.

More snow pictures. I know…shocking! Actually the first two are videos of us sledding on Tuesday. The hill we ended on was so packed down from hundred of people desperate to get out that you really didn’t even need a sled. Just snow pants were enough.
This is Mia sliding down the hill on her back.

On top of starting a business, having car problems, crashing car with problem on a patch of black ice, and having sick kids, there was a tragic death in our church community that is taking its toll emotionally on us. Let’s just suffice to say that Wednesday [...]
