Our God knows so much that…

Melissa | August 28, 2010

Mia and I were having a conversation today where it came up that God knows everything.  And she says, “Our God knows so much that He knows how shiny your teeth are even if your mouth is closed.”  That cracked me up and we decided to start a running list.

Sharing the Gospel…Literally

Melissa | July 24, 2010

Set the Stage:  PJ and Mia received small Gospels of John while we were visiting Gettysburg this weekend.  Let me tell you.  It’s quite an experience to be proselytised in 100 degree weather by a guy dressed in Civil War garb.  Especially when you already believe.  He was giving out free water though.

Anyway, they were [...]

The Great Debut

Melissa | June 22, 2010

Mia had her big dance recital debut this past weekend.  When PJ tried to explain to her about stage fright (and what to do if it happened), she looked at him like she had not idea what he was talking about.  She couldn’t for the life of her understand why you would be scared to [...]

Girls’ Day

Melissa | May 22, 2010

Sometimes when you live with two brothers, a Daddy, an Uncle, and a Pops, you just need

a Girls’ Day (with Mommy, Nana, and Auntie).

What better way

to start a Girls’ Day

than with a girly lunch of edamame and sushi?

Summer calls for flip flops and painted toes.

Or painted nails if you’re feet are too ticklish.

These girly girls [...]

Best Birthday

Melissa | May 16, 2010

As our kids get older, it’s fun to watch all the seeds we’ve sown (like compassion, love, empathy, and how to celebrate) grow in the soil of their little big personalities.  Mostly unbeknownst to me, my children (especially the older two) spent the better part of the week scheming with my mom to plan a birthday [...]
