It was NOT me who somehow missed Mia during the pre-5 hours-on-the-beach sunscreen extravaganza.  I am way more conscientious than that.

It was NOT me who lost 90% of Mia’s tickets during a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party.  I did NOT slip away during pizza time to win back the missing tickets with the minimum amount of coin usage so she wouldn’t notice.

It is NOT me who has been so pre-occupied with getting this site live that I’ve been a lazy blogger and crabby mommy.

It was NOT me who let a wipe down with baby wipes suffice as a shower before church yesterday.  We are NOT going on 36 hours with no water at our house.

I did NOT almost kiss the guy that came and fix it (probably because it cost so much).

I am NOT pausing in the middle of a basement clean out that is a year over due to write this post.  Nope I would NEVER use the blog as an excuse not to clean.

We did NOT come home to find these in our garden.

I was NOT so tired from a weekend of tent camping that I left them all on the counter and went to bed.  I will NOT try to convince PJ that he wants to learn to pickle as part of summer learning.

I did NOT double dip in summer reading programs across two counties because we live so close to the line.

I did NOT fail to pack diapers for Ty when we went camping this weekend.  (At least we remembered the clothes this time).

I was NOT the only mom who neglected to get my daughter flowers to present to her after dance performance this weekend.  It was NOT a monumental first dance performance and she did NOT melt into a puddle of tears when she asked where her flowers were and I didn’t have any.  We did NOT got to a grocery store at 10:30pm on the way home to remedy the situation.  She did NOT opt for a birthday balloon instead.  I am NOT that bad of a mommy.

I did NOT (for the second year in a row) ask my husband to watch our kids on Father’s Day so I could decorate my Vacation Bible School tent in peace.

I would NOT sit idly by while our youngest ate a handful of beach sand thinking, “He’ll learn not to do that again.”  Ty would NOT go on to eat at least two more handfuls (even after being chastised).  

We would NOT purchase 32 more seedlings for our already overflowing garden just because it was such a good deal.  We did NOT have to expand our garden (again) to accomodate such a purchase.

I would NOT teach my oldest how to toast his own breakfast because I was too lazy to do it. 

I have NOT capitalized on summer boredom by having my kids do household chores.

 I did NOT run up to the house pressing the unlock button on the car remote after forgetting something on our way out this morning.

It was NOT me who left the lion-share of the housecleaning for my brother’s graduation party to my kids and my husband while I put together a slideshow and scanned the kids schoolwork.  I am a great housekeeper and I would NOT let my house get so dirty that it took 3 hours to make presentable for company.

I was NOT me who made my kids eat make-you-own-bowl-of-cereal for dinner two nights in a row.  I am much more health conscious than that and NOT nearly that lazy.

It was NOT me who used Bubble Mint gum as a substitute for brushing my teeth this morning since the bathroom was otherwise occupied when I was running out the door this morning.

It is NOT me who can’t remember the last time she changed our bed sheets and who should be cleaning our room instead of blogging.

It was NOT me who yelled at PJ from the kitchen this morning when I heard a sound like someone beating a mylar balloon.  PJ was NOT still sleeping and the balloon was NOT in the process of getting beat up by and tangled in our living room ceiling fan.

I did NOT use flip flops and fruit snacks as my “easy buttons” this week.  I am way too health conscious to use fruit snacks to occupy my youngest while I work.

I do NOT live for events that involve adult-to-adult conversations and babysitting of my children.

My brother being home has NOT been my excuse for letting my house become a complete pig sty.

I did NOT use my birthday weekend as an excuse to sit around blogging rather than spending time as a family.

I did NOT spot 4 child-size chairs in some one’s garbage pile on my way to speech therapy last week.  I did NOT turn around in the middle of the road, pull into a strangers driveway, and swipe said chairs because I thought they would perfect for our child-size picnic table.

I did NOT waste over an hour researching DSLR cameras that I cannot afford anyway.  I have entirely too much to do to waste time on such tomfoolery.

I did NOT consider ballpoint pen or felt tip marker as substitutes for eyeliner for my dance performance this weekend.  Thankfully I found dark brown eyeshadow to do in a pinch.

I am NOT looking at a basket of laundry that has needed to be folded since Friday.

I did NOT schedule last week’s Foto Friday to post on Thursday.  Nope, it was NOT me who walked around all week thinking Thursday was going to be Friday since we were leaving to go out of town that day.

It was NOT me who thought it would be a good idea to drag my 3 kids (7 and under) to my brother’s college graduation weekend 5 hours away sans Patrick.  I did NOT make them sit through a stuffy poli-sci mix and mingle, a Baccalaureate service, a  2 1/2 hour graduation ceremony, and a graduation party in a not-so-kid-friendly house all in a 24 hour window of time in 90 degree weather.  (Thank goodness my parents were there.  Also, truth-be-told, they all did pretty fabulously).

I am super-organized and strive not to be that parent.  It was NOT me who sent my first grader to school this morning having neglected to complete his homeword from Thursday.  It will NOT be a battle tonight doing 2 nights of homework and a day of make-up work while I’m at a dance rehearsal.
