Who really benefits from adoption?

Melissa | November 30, 2010

As National Adoption Month comes to a close, I thought I’d squeak in one last post on adoption.  Not that I won’t blog about adoption ever again, because I will.  I just won’t be able to do it during National Adoption Month for another year.
If you know an adoptive family well, you know that the [...]

Christmas Preschool Activities

Melissa | November 29, 2010

In an effort to encourage Ty in his speech, language, and overall development, I’ve been trying (keyword) to do some basic activities with him.  Here’s an example.  It’s short and sweet with a beginning and an end and a holiday theme to boot

I am Thankful…

Melissa | November 25, 2010

…for my family (parents, inlaws, kids, siblings, etc).
…for my friends (you know who you are).
…for adoption (of me into my family, of Ty into our family, of us into God’s family).

Anyway earlier [...]

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power [...]

Ending of a season

Melissa | November 7, 2010

Soccer is officially over.  I think Patrick is more dissappointed than his kids.  We had an amazing team.*
*Read: We had great kids, great parents, lots of enthusiasm, fun, and improvement.
*Not Read: Won a lot of games.
I took pictures at the last regular season game which was last weekend.  Here are some of my favorites…

Yesterday was [...]
