Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

It did NOT take me 3 kids to get the food throwing/wearing, climbing, escaping variety.  Boy, are they a lot of work!

I would NEVER throw away a pizza dough recipe after I made it b/c I realized it was the wrong one and then decide it was the best I ever made and then realize it might be triggering my migraines.  (I would NOT write a run-on sentence like the last one).

I did NOT sit in a radiology waiting room for 30 minutes with two squirmy preschoolers only for the registration specialist to tell me that Mia could not go back with us.  I did NOT panic run out of the office and call a nearby MOPS friend to see if I could drop Mia off.  She does NOT have a newborn.  What was I thinking?  THANK YOU, “THE OTHER MELISSA”!!!!!!  I did NOT hurry back to the radiologist to find my 6-cars-away-from-the-door parking spot was still open.  Miracles are alive and well.

I would NOT let my kids lick the beaters…even if there was raw eggs.

Ty’s prescription did NOT explode all over the pharmacist when I went to pick it up Friday.

I did NOT answer Mia’s calls from the bathroom to find her half naked in the child’s pose (butt hiney facing me) asking if she got all the poop.  I did NOT actually consider capturing this on film my camera’s memory card but was afraid I’d get arrested for child porn.

I did NOT take Ty into a public place on his leash (who Mia has affectionately named Darson).  He did NOT proceed to run to the end of it, throw himself on the ground, and scream at the top of his lungs while I was powerless.  That public place was NOT the public library…SHHHHHHHH.

Whew that feels better.

Other notables for this week (I know it’s kinda tacky to add these on but I need to somehow document them so I have material when I finally get around to scrapbooking this season of our lives so you’ll have to put up with them):

*Ty’s vocabulary has expanded to include his version of ‘hungry,’ ‘eat,’ and ‘hot.’

*Patrick and I got out for our first date night on Saturday for my birthday.  Ty did well and even let Nana put him to bed.

*I took Ty for his first professional haircut today and his hairdresser was Korean.  M, was a sweet lady who even spoke almost exclusively Korean to Ty at my request.  I love the little blessings in life.
